Endurance is very important, more so than strength or speed. On the very first day, they will not hold back and ease you in. I think its like 30% quit in the first 6 hours. BUDs Training: You need to be able to do hundreds of push ups, sit ups, pull ups, squat thrusts, and whatever else. You need to be able to hold your breath for a long time, I think 5 minutes. They also have something called Hell Week when they push you non stop for 7 days with little food and drink and very very little sleep. SEALs don't train like any other branch. I think SEAL training is 6 months. At some point you have to run, I think its like 25 miles in a small period of time. Consistent neatness. Perfect beds, shiny shoes, no wrinkles in your clothes. Practice on making everything you do in your life to be as immaculate as possible. Get used to cold showers, hot sand, rolling around on hard ground, and anything else of the sort. You will be forced to poop and pee your pants and not be able to change for a whole day maybe more. Try to work up to benching around 300 lb. Of course practice shooting and any other expected military obstacle.

I had a friend in school who joined the SEALs and I thought he would be able t do it because he was fit and come from a military family, but he failed the first week. Try to use your non dominant hand more and run and work out til you bleed and blister. You can watch the BUDs training videos to get a small idea of what you will go through. Working under extreme pressure is also important.

What book(s) do you reccomend for me to read about Navy Seals training?

I want a book that will tell me exactly what the Navy Seals go through from the BUD/S all the way to the end when they are finially Navy Seals.

There's no one book that covers all that you want to know, atleast not extensively as you're asking for. But try these two books, they do cover all the excruciating details for a SEAL student and it's written by a SEAL who was a legend in the Teams.
"The Warrior Elite: The Forging of SEAL Class 228"-covers BUD/S(SEAL training) extensively
"The Finishing School: Earning the Navy SEAL Trident"-follows BUD/S graduates through SQT and STT(period right before a graduate finally becomes a Navy SEAL)
and for an better view of what goes on at BUD/S, you can check out a documentary entitles "BUD/S Class 234". and remember, SEAL is always capitalized.

One of the most trusted names in pocket knives, hunting knives, and survival knives is Buck knives. Buck knives is the biggest  name of Quality in the world of knives. Buck knives where created by Hoyt H Buck. Hoyt Buck started making hunting knives as a apprentice in Kansas over 100 years ago. Witch supports the claim that Buck knives is one of the greatest manufactures in the world and is why Buck knives are second to none, and has a reputation that spans the globe.

Buck knives also made a survival knife called the Buckmaster. These knives where made for the military and also one of the knives that you know from the Rambo movies. Later Buck knives where also made for the navy seals. This knife is called the Knighthawk.

This is another testament to the quality of  Buck knives, one of the best makers of pocket knives, hunting knives, or survival knives  world wide. If Buck knives are trusted by the U.S. military, and the navy seals, then  I think that we all can trust them. Buck knives continue to be a favorite of hunters and fishers and all kinds of out door sportsmen all over the country.

Later in 2005 much to the community of San Diego's disappointment, Buck knives moved back to where it all started, back to Idaho where the first knives where made by Hoyt H Buck, to help the war effort. Buck knives has a history of being the best. From the first knives that Hoyt H Buck made to the Buck knives of today when we go hunting or fishing or on our camping trips, and all the knives that have served our young men and young ladies in the military. So if you  want the best, buy Buck knives and you can't go wrong. They are just great knives, and a name that is trusted to make quality knives around the world.
