Several types of stone (marble, basalt) are present in its construction, but I can't find what the base of the structure is made of. Part of it is possibly mud brick, in some of the older sections. It has burnt several times and may be made of several types of stone or mud brick (which is much more strong than you may think) over the centuries.

What material would make the strongest, sharpest most effective combat sword? I think it is Damascus steel?

I think even A sword made of one single carved sharpened diamond in its most perfect impure form would be more brittle and easy to break than some steel alloys.

Is This A Japanese Legend Or A Movie?

I was looking at swords, because I'm a collector.... I came across this cane sword...

I highly doubt that this was a legend first. The movie does not say that it is based on legend or true story, and most things you find about Zaitochi aren't exactly supporting the idea that it is based on a legend. Here is the real fact. Zaitochi is based on something a samurai or blacksmith would place the Katana in, usually because of the hilt, blade, or sheath having damage. It was placed in a separate area to keep it from sustaining any more damage. Basically, it looked like a blind man's cane or walking stick, but it wasn't meant for that. Soooooo, in other words, it isn't based on real facts... It is just a movie.

With the holidays coming around, handmade jewellery kits would make a great gift for anyone that is creative and up for the challenge of making handcrafted jewellery.

There are items that are common in a household that can be used to make handmade beads. There are handcrafted jewellery kits that include various colored modeling clay, thick wooden dowels, toothpicks and a plastic knife to make hundreds of colored handcrafted beads for jewellery. Any child can create a unique handmade piece of jewellery and it is easy to make colorful beads without spending a lot of money.

You can make handcrafted clay beads that are two different colors of clay and can be shaped into a snake figure. To make this unique piece of handcrafted jewellery, the two pieces of clay need to be twisted together.
