i have a question about carrying a knife?

i'm 18 years old and i just bought an 50 dollar smith and wesson knife its a little 1 centimeter bigger then 4 inch its the size of my palm and its called smith and wesson special tactical knives is it illegal to carry it? around the street in my pocket or my belt buckle

In most of America a blade of less than 4" and in some places 3.5" is considered a common pocket knife and is legal to carry in your pocket

If the knife is larger then most of those places allow for it to be carried openly on the belt

But knife laws are not as well defined or as strictly enforces as gun laws for the most part

In general if you are not committing any other crime or cause any other unwanted attention to yourself you will not be harassed by good cops

But there are also a lot of cops that just like to see how their badges work

In general an 18 year old acting responsibly with a small pocket knife should not have any problems

If you are do not make any comments about the officer's daughter's promiscuity issues

A ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. This is a very good saying to live by Every day. But especially In today economic state. With companies going under and governments all around the world failing. It might be a good Idea to prepare yourself for the worst with a well built survival kit just in case the worst really does happen. I know that this might sound extreme, and no one wants the worst to happen but once again a ounce of prevention is worth a pound you cure.

There are many things that go into a well built  survival kit. Some of the obvious things are none perishable foods, bottled water. For the reason of you will want to be able to eat and drink if things get to the point that food is hard to come by. I would at least try to get two or three months of food and water storage for my kit. It is better to have it and not need it that to need it and not have it.

 Other things that you might want to include are toothpaste and tooth Brush. Along with other hygiene related objects. Deodorant dental floss, shaving cream, Razors, and mouth wash. You might even want to throw things like toilet paper in there as well. A well stocked first aid kit is a absolute must, rubbing alcohol, and a small tools box.

The reason it would be a good idea to have a small tool set with your survival kit is that if things get bad you might just have to work with what you already have. So this means fixing things instead of going out and getting new ones. A flash light and lots of batteries. It also would be good to have candles as another sources of light. A small radio, and a few warm blankets.

 Maybe some wool clothing. I say wool because wool will always stay warm even if it is very wet it still will insolate you. Some long john underwear and coats things to help keep you and your family warm, and keeping warm might be something that is very important if hard times come.

Those are things that most people would think of when making a survival kit. Here are some things that a lot of people would not think about but can be just is important if not more important. For starters some sort of hard currency. Gold or silver. If the country you are in  economy is failing the paper money that it makes is going to be worthless. But gold and silver will always be worth something, so to have gold or silver would be a very good investment.

You should also have a few good knives in you kit as well. Knives are a great tool. They can be used for many things. Most importantly they can be used to defended all of the things that I have mentioned above. In hard times. If you have something that could prevent you for going hunger and being cold,  others may  try to take it. If it is up to there children starving or yours, they will let yours go hungry. That is why I would recommend having a few good quality knives in your kit, and if you can afford to gave a gun and ammunition  in your kit I would recommend that as well.
