Xbox Live says it's working, but it isn't...huh?
I recently hooked up Xbox Live in my dorm at college. It's a wired connection because in order to play on the schools account based wireless network, you need to pay 30$/mo. for a "premium account" (What BS right?). Right, back to the problem. I hooked it up two days ago, and up until last night, my 360 has connected to Xbox Live without a hitch. Now this afternoon, I sit down and try to get my fix of CoD4 TDM before heading off to chemistry, and something really weird happened. Xbox Live "sort of" connected. It said my account had signed into Xbox, then displayed the message "Can't sign into Messenger", THEN, it proceeds to tell me that I have X amount of friends online. Other than that, I just stare at the blank Marketplace and Xbox Live blades until it brings back up the "Connect to Xbox Live" option. I've run the "Test Xbox Live Connection" and it tells me I'm connected to Xbox Live, though I clearly am only "sort of" connected. Does anybody know what's going on or how to fix it?
Mine does that randomly as well. Just disconnect and try again till it works, or shut down and try again. It will work eventually
