What do history teachers need to know?
Hi,
I am in Australia studying to be a teacher and I am specialising in history. I need to complete a minor (4 units) to become qualified. I have already studied a unit in Australian history, and a unit in European history, and I have been told I can pretty much do whatever other units I like to complete my minor. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to study, seeing as I can do whatever I like?
find some period of historical interest and try to study that. The more interest you have the more you'll dig into the meaning, the parallels, the lives and the impact felt today. that has got to be good.
I'm studying history as well at the moment. It's all good fun.
