According to regulation, which Unit Insignia do I wear on my beret?
I am currently permanently ASSIGNED to one unit, and then was later ATTACHED to a different unit with a different unit crest (DUI). I'm still assigned to the original unit though. Which unit crest do I wear on my beret? AR 670-1 says vaguely that you wear the crest of the unit you are assigned to and says nothing of being attached to a unit. A little help please, and please provide references if available. Thank You.
well soldier since everythign is suppose to be dress right dress and you will look funny in formation being the only soldier with a differant crest, I would sew on the crest that everyoen else has on their beret. That is my army experienced answer. I know its a pain in the a$$ to do this and then resew on another insignia when you get back to your unit, but remember dress right dress, everybody latty-datty. same uniform, look-alike, no one out of place.
Or you can just ask the 1SGT what his opinion is.
sorry a bit confused. their are two parts to the thing if I remember correctly, one you sew on and the metal part, I wa sin an airbourn unit for 13 years and had to wear the marine beret and I wa snot airbourne I was chairbourne
