Does this Police unit exist in Australia?

I was watching this tv show called "Rush" and its based on a "Tactical Response Unit" team responding to things that a normal policeman would respond to.

Its a series not a reality show. Just wondering if the "Tactical Response Unit" exists. I googled it but not luck.

They wear a full blue uniform, with a Kevlar vest. Horizontal "Police" on the back and coming down vertically on the front.

I would except all Police Forces around the world have Tactical Response Units. Australian police authorities will be no different.

We have them here in Tayside Police Area (Scotland) and they have access to the Blue (crash type) Helmets with tinted visors, black coveralls, knee & elbow pads. and flak-jackets.

Over here the are known as Tactical Support Group (TGS).
