What Does Communication Do in the United States Marine Corps?

Hi i am going into the marine corps and i wanted to be infantry or artillery but they gave me communications so can anyone tell me what they do is it just computers and stuff and do they have alot of people in communications in okinawa japan because thats where i want to go.

communication marines deal w several different types short range and long range radios you can possibly be tasked out with an artillery unit or a infantry unit to help them with their communication needs so you still have a chance to be with a grunt unit and yes about japan you can be stationed anywhere where there are marines.
