Army rank insignia placement question please help!?
ok so my fiance is in the United States Army reserve and he leaves for his 2 weeks in like a week but he keeps getting crap for how the pin on insignia sits on his hat weird. They said the placement is incorrect which in reality it is but thats how they had them wearing it in basic and ait. Well anyways he wants to just go ahead and do the sew on insignia on his hat and asked if i would do it for him because he cant sew for crap. I figured out the placement but I cant find anything on the regulations of how to fold the square of fabric around the insignia for sewing. Anyone know what the regulation is or where I can find it????
I looked in AR 670-1 and it showed me the placement but no specifics on the fold. its the acu hat not the barret. i cant think of what its actually called. lol i also need to know the placement of the insignia on an ach
If this is the ball cap type cover it is centered left to right and top to bottom. Use the pin on rank. That even goes back to my day
If you are talking about the beret it is also centered (DUI) on the flash. The flash is centered on the stiffner of the beret and top to bottom. The finished product will place the flash over the left eye.
As far as the fold goes I have no idea. As long as everything is centered he should be OK.
