Where can I find detailed written instruction on how to use an SKS cleaning kit?
The cleaning kit only. thanks.
I would have to say that the cleaning kit included with the rifle is not the best cleaning kit. You can get a better and more efficient cleaning kit by just going to Wal Mart and buying a basic rifle cleaning kit for under $20. The cleaning kit included with the rifle was made for the soldier in the field. Compromises were made so it could be carried with the rifle. It can clean the rifle, but not as well as a modern cleaning kit.
You have two choices for written instructions.
1. You can scour the message boards on "Survivor's SKS boards" or the "surplus rifle SKS page".
2. You can purchase the SKS manual translated into English. I left you the link below. The translated manual should contain the proper use and instruction on the SKS cleaning kit.
